If you aren't 13 years old or a Brendan Fraser completionist, Journey to the Center of the Earth is a tough watch. It’s a loud, "gimmicky" movie that trades a good story for CGI things jumping at your face. Without the 3D theater experience, the flaws in the script and the "green-screen" acting are impossible to ignore. It’s a dated relic of the late 2000s that fails to deliver any lasting impact.
