Mercy (2026) is the definition of a great concept let down by poor execution. The idea of a 90-minute, AI-driven murder trial is high-stakes and genuinely "interesting," but the immersion is constantly broken by some of the most unconvincing acting in recent memory. Instead of feeling the protagonistโs desperation, I felt like I was the one on trial just trying to make it to the end of the film. A fascinating "what-if" scenario that unfortunately fails to deliver the necessary emotional weight.
