Him confirms one thing: audio mixing is becoming a lost art. I spent the entire runtime playing tug-of-war with my volume levels just to catch the dialogue without being blasted by the action sequences.

Technical gripes aside, this was a stronger outing for Wayans than anticipated. His range is the highlight here, showing an impressive ability to pivot from comedic timing to genuine gravitas. Unfortunately, despite a solid lead performance, the film fails to find a unique identity. It’s competent, but it doesn't do enough to stand out in a crowded genre.
