
This flick had a serious identity crisis. It couldn't decide if it wanted to be a gritty thriller or a lighthearted comedy, and as a result, it failed at both. The tonal whiplash is real—it jumps from "dead serious" to "totally unserious" so fast you’ll get cinematic vertigo.
It’s genuinely shocking to see a seasoned pro like Queen Latifah look this out of place; the acting across the board felt amateur, almost like a rehearsal that accidentally got filmed. There was so much potential for a high-stakes survival story here, but it never leaves the driveway
