I really wanted to like the "goofy" energy of this remake, but the execution was just off. Anaconda tries so hard to be self-aware and funny that it forgets to be a thriller. While there are some fun moments and a few big laughs, the overall "movie-about-a-movie" gimmick feels like a distraction from a thin script. It’s an underwhelming "no" from me - sometimes you just want the snake to eat the people without the commentary
